Self-Help Resource Center: what is it and how can it help me?

  • New Orleans Public Library 5641 Read Boulevard New Orleans, LA, 70127 United States (map)

There are two ways to access the court: with an attorney or as a self-represented litigant. At this workshop, volunteers from The Pro Bono Project will introduce attendees to the procedural steps of 1) finding an attorney, 2) determining if they are eligible for civil legal aid, or 3) representing themselves in court.

Disclaimer: The Orleans Civil District Court established the SHRC to assist visitors with navigating the complexities of the legal system. Legal information is available.
